Our client in Brockton, MA is seeking a Instructor/ Employment Specialist
Hours: 30 hours per week
Pay: $20-22/hour
SUMMARY:Under the general supervision of the manager responsible for developing/ maintaining job bank information, job development, job matching, marketing, placement, maintaining client files, monitoring and follow-up services for clients to enable them to find and retain employment; responsible for developing/ nurturing strong rapport with area employers in order to generate worksites for participants; responsible for providing weekly counseling, case management, and referral services to clients/worksite employers to ensure program/job retention; maintains client files and employment records and assists in CIES billing procedures; and performs other duties. May provide ABE/HiSet Prep/GED Prep/ESOL instruction/testing to students enrolled who need their high school credentials.
QUALIFICATIONS:This position requires a BA/BS degree and related experience in Recruiting and/or job development. You must have strong human relations/communications skills, and the ability to relate to employers as well as a diverse, multi-cultural population with varying needs/issues. It requires flexibility, the ability to ensure clients secure and retain employment and the ability to work closely with staff in a team approach to achieve overall program goals. In the position, you will visit employer sites and therefore need to have your own vehicle and valid driver’s license.
