Job Title: Medical Assistant (Temporary) – Pain Management Clinic
Location: Dartmouth, MAPosition Type: Temporary (Coverage for Medical Leave)
Schedule: Monday–Friday
  • Standard hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Flexible options available: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM or 7:45 AM – 4:15 PM
Pay Range:
  • Comparable Southcoast-certified Medical Assistant rates: $21.94 – $28.56/hour
  • Final rate dependent on experience and certification
Job DescriptionA busy pain management clinic in Dartmouth, MA is seeking a Medical Assistant for a temporary position to cover an employee on medical leave. This role supports both in-person and telemedicine patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.Key Responsibilities
  • Triage and room patients for a high-volume pain management practice
  • Obtain and document patient vitals and clinical information
  • Conduct toxicology screenings, including:
    • Providing instructions and supplies for urine samples
    • Performing oral swab toxicology screens when urine samples are not obtainable
  • Support telemedicine visits, including over-the-phone patient triaging
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with clinic policies and patient confidentiality standards
Qualifications
  • Medical Assistant certification preferred
  • Prior experience in a busy clinical or pain management setting strongly preferred
  • Comfortable with patient triage and telemedicine workflows
  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Professional, dependable, and patient-focused
